She's also been a villain in one of the must successful franchises ever; James Bond, in which she acted alongside Roger Moore ffs... how can people not know her? You having not heard Grace's music doesn't negate its influence on Gaga.

She was a disco diva turned old school crooner, singing La Vie En Rose, thirty years before Gaga.

 

Thirty years before Poker Face, Grace Jones was singing dance songs with s-xuality explicit double entendres.

 

It's the similar styles of music, it's the fashion, it's the performance art approach to live musical performances, it's gender fluidity (both rumored to actually be men), it's the apologetically gay approach to music. Grace was and is a huge influence on Gaga. We don't have to pretend like she isn't just because Grace is rude about it.
