First, RedOne started with rock music, and he produced the latest single from The Band Perry. Second and last, EDM is not popular since 2013, the "it" genre rn is R&B, and Pop (not dance-pop).

Actually, come to think of it, RedOne also produced for Porcelain Black. It's not exactly metal music, but it's a sure sign that if Gaga pushes him we could definitely end up with full-on electro-metal.

I absolutely despise the genres of rock and metal, rock and metal culture, any genre dominated by males (as I cannot bear listening to something I cannot relate to), the pretentiousness that those genres can bring and the occasional patriarchal misogyny present in some of these songs. Metal specifically can be far too violent and uncoordinated for my tastes, and I detest the use of "real" instruments with a rock/metal backing.

I don't know what the next album will be but I'll admit I'm going to be bitter if it's rock or metal :air:

You don't think pop music displays misogyny, even by females?

I have mixed feelings about this.

On one hand, she could make this ballad rock American music (You & I or MANiCURE or something like that) which could definitely make me throw away my stan card for some time, as I never have liked the music. Well, I'm OK with the aesthetic, but not so with the sound.

HOWEVER, if she manages to pull off some high quality jittery electronic rock, in a way how artists like Justice and Kavinsky do it, I'll be forever and EVER grateful. Songs like Mary Jane Holland and Aura are pure electronic-rock-house-pop perfections. And if she makes rock music through the modern electronic pop aesthetic, I'm sure it will be great, as it not only would mean that Gaga is once again dipping her toes into new waters, but her music would also stand out from the whole sweet, dreamy and somewhat mild pop sound which is rather popular on the radio.

And if she even dares to infuse some disco into the mix, it will be pure French House perfection. Imagine something like this coming from Gaga

Metal? Lol, no way is Gaga doing metal.

Rock? Her album may be more pop-rock, but that's about it.

These are my predictions.

You need to listen to some Love Metal, no misogyny there. :pole:

Certainly, that's why I said some in regards to rock or metal - I just find it less impactful to me personally when sung by women, despite that not making it any less right. It's ridiculous.

Oh, ok  Just checking.

I'm a huge metal fan so it saddens me to read your previous post but at least you have a clear idea of why you don't like it.
