Everything about it is pure perfection; the lyrics, it's meaning and concept, music, production, Gaga's vocals, etc. Even the video is amazing. It might've not been the eccentric, daring, brow raising, crazy or controversial visual that Gaga usually delivers and creates, or the original Mermaid concept that was scrapped, but it is still a great video. I think there's some meaning behind that video as well. Overall, The Edge of Glory is an astonishing song. Definitely one of the best pop singles released this decade. You can clearly feel the emotion when you're listening to it. It is very memorable, and I think it's one of the reasons why it is still played on radio even to this day. So, do you guys agree? The second chorus hits hard with adrenaline and fierceness, and then the bridge completely dips into a smooth, high phase, and then the beat catches up and we dive back into the adrenaline.
