I hope so. I also think people will be interested in her new work since her last pop album was released in 2013 (and the last very successful one in 2011) Working with RedOne is such a good choice because they have always made great music together - it's not a step backwards in my opinion :laughga: I'm pretty sure she'll concentrate on fulfilling her promises and somehow be more careful with her promises. Still waiting for that space performance, it's 2015!

I don't think she will.
Back in The Fame days, she grabbed people's attention with her outlandish fashion/behavior and then wowed them with her voice. Then everyone in the pop industry started doing the exact same thing, trying to outdo each other with every new outfit, and the public simply got used to it. Unless Gaga does something game changing, I don't see her being as huge and controversial again, but that's okay, I only care about the music.
Her messy promo is also to blame. ARTPOP was a good album that did poorly because most of the things she had planned for it never happened or were half-assed.

If she delivers a well-planned era with outstanding performances, epic music videos directed by professional people and of course relatable and catchy bops with great melodies produced by RedOne then the crown of the queen of the universe will be again hers just like during TFM era.

I really hope so, otherwise I can't stan for her anymore.

I have faith in her chart-success now that she is working with RedOne though

Probably not as big as in her early days, but of course she's gonna be very successful again. Wait till October 7th.

You can't stan for her only because she's not as successful as she was during her peak? What kind of fan you are

Bad Bromance

AND MAKE SURE WE ALL BUY HER SINGLES AND ALBUMS WHEN THEY ARE RELEASED! :D

That goes without saying.  If we don't buy her singles and her album, then we have no one to blame but ourselves if her sales aren't as impressive as they used to be.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

It's hard to tell. I think a big reason why she was like that back then was because a lot of who she is was still a secret. The public didn't know a lot about her as a person, were trying to figure out who she was as a musician, and even her musical talent wasn't fully known. All those unknowns left a lot of holes for speculation, which got people talking and wondering.

Nowadays we know a lot about Gaga, who she is as an artist, and her musical talent. It's harder to wag the finger at her and make assumptions, and she's proven herself as a musician so it's unlikely for someone to criticize her and use her "lack of ability" as backup.

I think for someone to be huge like she was, there needs to be an air of uncertainty about them, a hint of controversy, and a need to determine their validity. Gaga is at a point where those things aren't as prominent in her career.

However, I think that's a good thing. She seems to be building a legacy and gathering respect in the world while still being different.
I'd rather see her grow to be an artist that will not only be remembered for being controversial, but respected for it (like we respect Bjork, for example). I want to see her grow to be a fashion icon that isn't laughed at when she wears something outrageous, but is applauded for it. I want to see people excited when she branches out. And Gaga is going down that road.

I don't think Gaga will be huge like she was before, but she's ramping up to be huge in a much, much better way.

I think public will never again be obsessed with her shock factor and fashion

If it's served as it was back then... people just have seen it all and don't care anymore - that was one of the problems with ARTPOP era

She hasn't really changed her delivery of image for a long time - we had retro-cool-fabulous for TF and then crazy for TFM, BTW and AP - nothing really changed for 3 eras with her image looking at it as a big picture. She changed her image with C2C - to classic diva-ish, but it wasn't very mainstream era.

If she'll show a different side of being crazy and fashionable, like REALLY different to what we had in 2009-2014, then maybe people will be interested. But it must be really fresh or everybody will be again like "oh, look at Gaga, she looks crazy again, meh"

It wasn't just the shock value that made her popular back then. It was the fact that she was controversial and cool at the same time. She wanted to be the definition of cool, and she was. She didn't care about that at all during the last three Eras.

Jesse Pinkman

Yeah.. For an era like TFM, she would have to be universally liked and that'll never happen again. I think 2014 and 2015 have been a strong rebound after ARTPOP with her big performances (notably Oscars), but after Alejandro and Judas and performing in drag and getting thrown up on.. It's hard to garner that appeal.

She will always be big, just not TFM big.

She can really only grow with popularity, but she's so divisive. She's maxed out fame.. I don't think she could get any more famous if she tried. Her name is the definition of megastar.

Michael Jackson spent his entire career trying to recreate Thriller, and of course it never happened. I would hate for Gaga to have that mentality. She will always be a huge star, but she shouldn't aspire for that  again because fame and success of that caliber that happens once in a lifetime.

It's science, bitch

Madonna lost her "air of uncertainty" after some time too but it didn't prevent her from having extended success. It's all about having good promotion and picking the right singles, really. And it doesn't hurt to do things, anything, to be talked about.

I wasn't saying Gaga won't have extended success. I was saying her success and "huge"ness will be different from the kind we've seen before, and that's a good thing
