Brooke Candy 3,970
It was directed at your "True fan" comment What a teribly hilarious thing to say! As if someone who likes a musical artist is somehow truer if they treat that artist as a deity. that was also what my comment was directed to. You disagree with me and that's cool..i mean, whatever helps You sleep at night. Like, idgaf what you think. Again, i have FAITH in Gaga, i do NOT worship her. And i'm a 100% convinced that LG5 will f*cking SLAY the world. Period. buy 'Paper or Plastic' by Brooke candy on iTunes NOW!!

JanPianoMusic 730
I think so, I presume it relies on good single choices (not ****ing "Yoü and I") and many performances You will never please everyone.
SISTERV 3,887
Yes.In many ways, ARTPOP was on trajectory to slide downward. The press loved beating her up. Troy was done. She was depressed. Katy and Miley stole thunder. And she didn't have the mysterious factor consider 90% of the album was out before it was officially released. With LG5 she has the opposite sending her into upwards momentum. The press praises her. The gp respects her fRom the Oscars. She is golden. Her new sound with RedOne will undoubtedly be catchy. And she seems inspired again. She'll see those numbers again.
Levine 23,593
Big yes, HUGE don't think so. I'm saying this because imo the last "huge" popstar was Adele. Taylor, for exemple, is big to me, not huge. P.s. please avoid the jokes about Adele and huge, y'all know what I meant.
Brooke Hoegan 1,018
I think public will never again be obsessed with her shock factor and fashionIf it's served as it was back then... people just have seen it all and don't care anymore - that was one of the problems with ARTPOP eraShe hasn't really changed her delivery of image for a long time - we had retro-cool-fabulous for TF and then crazy for TFM, BTW and AP - nothing really changed for 3 eras with her image looking at it as a big picture. She changed her image with C2C - to classic diva-ish, but it wasn't very mainstream era.If she'll show a different side of being crazy and fashionable, like REALLY different to what we had in 2009-2014, then maybe people will be interested. But it must be really fresh or everybody will be again like "oh, look at Gaga, she looks crazy again, meh"
Warholian 6,880
I do think that today there lies a large slot that used to be filled by Gaga. We no longer have shock art in pop, just shock. Instead of wearing meat dresses as a social commentary on DADT, celebrities wear ugly squares on their heads so they might be able to show up in some magazine the next day. Being able to sing well is something reserved for singers who like to sit down at a piano for their performances or don't even tour. Everything is intensely boring today and I think that, after 5 years since Gaga was on top, the public knows they've lost something. To determine if Gaga will ever be 'huge' again, and that is TFM huge, we'll have to wait until next year when LG5 is released. If the public is subconsciously craving her, then it will be a natural ascension back to pop superstar. If not, then the album and music will still probably be successful. Either way, Gaga has already become a legend. If she dropped off the face of the Earth tomorrow people would still talk about her in 30 years when looking back on 2010s culture. She has one of the biggest names in the industry and will never really fade away. Kevin Parker, Mac Demarco, Mark Ronson, and a stoned Lady Gaga. Need I say more? Americano 31,061
No, that's a one time deal because she was "new." She'll have big moments like the Oscar's this year and have hit singles, but people know her. She's established.
Americano 31,061
I'll point to Britney having a huge era in the US with Femme Fatale, but she wasn't "huge." Same goes to Katy Perry having a big era during PRISM after "I Kissed a Boy" etc. There's a point in your career (if you're a megastar) where people just get used to you. It's not a bad thing. Some stars go from being "huge" to collapsing into irrelevance unfortunately (Iggy).2015 has been a big year for Gaga between the Grammys, Oscars, AHS, etc. This is about as good as it gets for established stars. Add excitement of new music next year, of course, but I mean in terms of buzz.
Harry 26,836
Idk, several artists have major comebacks that no one saw coming in their career - i.e. Madonna, Mariah - so it's not impossible. But my gut is telling me she'll never reach the heights that she did with TFM, because anyone being that huge in their career once is a very rare thing. I do really think that ARTPOP was a blip on the road and she'll continue to have successful albums, hits, tours etc.But whether she has a smash era again depends on how she plays her cards. I kinda think she's too polarising though.

I kinda think she's too polarising though.Yeah.. For an era like TFM, she would have to be universally liked and that'll never happen again. I think 2014 and 2015 have been a strong rebound after ARTPOP with her big performances (notably Oscars), but after Alejandro and Judas and performing in drag and getting thrown up on.. It's hard to garner that appeal. She will always be big, just not TFM big. She can really only grow with popularity, but she's so divisive. She's maxed out fame.. I don't think she could get any more famous if she tried. Her name is the definition of megastar.
