I think they're on good terms. He left to focus on his own career. Being Gaga's stylist is a full time job. Especially during eras, she changes multiple times a day.

There were timed times during ARTPOP where she would change so much it's crazy.

I think Brandon's idea of fashion is very Las Vegas over-the-top glam and it's actually all quite cheap looking.

And then when he attempts doing something quirky and Nicola-like, he makes Gaga look like a parody of herself.
