"And I took the time out for her", b---h, who the **** are you? He should feel honored to work with someone as talented as her. Ungrateful ass.

Damon is pretty much legendary,

He is the frontman of Gorillaz band, aside of Blur. Both are successful.  :fan:

With Blur, he was one of the act that responsible for 3rd British Invasion

in music along with Oasis, Suede and more in the 1990s.

I guess he's got some cred then

I'm glad some people have already defended Damon Albarn's relevance.

If Adele's album is as basic as Damon makes it out to be... yikes. Maybe she won't block Gaga from getting Grammys after all. :fan:

Poor Adele. Considering the MONSTER success that was her previous work, anything that doesn't measure up EXACTLY (or better) will be forever compared negatively to 21, even if it's acknowledged as being a great album. So there really isn't any point obsessing any more. She has talent, she has inspiration, she worked with some really great people. It could flop and she could still make music and live with her family in good comfort for a long, long time. Just relax Adele, take several deep breathes, and let it go. The album is done. Let her fly.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

"Well, this is a little disappointing. Damon Albarn has heard part of Adele’s third LP (due November) and wasn’t particularly impressed — labeling it “very middle of the road.” However, he might not be the most objective judge. The Blurfrontman worked on the project, but it looks like the songs he contributed didn’t make the final tracklist. “[She] asked me to work with her and I took the time out for her,”

tbh I think he only said that because he's not on the album..kinda like "oh she didn't feature me so the albums bad"

lmfao but I think she'll still do well for her first few singles because it's Adele

Ehh the critical reception to 21 wasn't really huge. I mean a score of 76 on metacritic is fantastic, don't get me wrong, but there were a few bigger reviews that came AFTER it's success was becoming more apparent.

I won't judge the album based upon a review from a guy whose contribution got cut from the final album. Even if he isn't 'pressed' or doesn't feel pissed, he is comparing the album to his work. He probably really likes his work.

But if the critics do not lick her ass this time, it will be harder to win all the Grammys in existence again
