politicqxs 358
Exactly. There's more going on here than what meets the eye. Hey, there's probably some conflict we don't even know about going on. Nations do what's best for them or their interests. Russia isn't doing this because they're so good and want to destroy ISIS... let's not be naive. so what are america's interests? giving up sodomy and moving to 🇦🇪 converting to ☪ and marrying four girls
uo111 5,282
so what are america's interests? We have an obsession with being the number 1 global power. We actively try to keep Russia and China from gaining influence on the world stage by toppling smaller regimes which are allied with them. In our defense, those regimes do tend to do some pretty horendous things. But... We don't really help afterwards and then the countries are taken over by new, worse groups (like ISIS).People who say "oil" don't know how economies work or where the oil reserves are. It's a cute thought, but it's always been inaccurate and it stopped being trendy to say once Obama took office. There is a long history of US interventions all over the world. It started with the Cold War right after WWII. A lot of Europeans think the US only makes mistakes, but if it wasn't for the US, Europe would be under Russian rule right now. There is some merit to what the US does, even if it does **** up a lot. Meanwhile, Putin dreams of a pre-Cold War Russia, where the US and Russia were both the power players, of course Putin would prefer if Russia was the only dominant global power (which we should all agree would be much worse than the US). Morphine Prince 109,683
so what are america's interests?Control. Stop terror attacks. The US is responsible for ISIS anyway. The least it could do is try to get rid of them.
Luc 4,776
Counterproductive.. keeping Assad in power (Russia's main goal) will lead even more young people to radicalization. This is fighting the sympton of a way larger problem. It's like giving a country like Ethiopia free food to fight hunger, instead of building roads to allow for more trade so that the states which have a good year can transport their food to the states with a bad year. You can give free food every year, but this will only fix the symptons of a larger problem.

Woolfsmck 2,763
US, Russia could sign Syria air-safety pact in 'coming days': official http://news.yahoo.com/us-russia-could-sign-syria-air-safety-pact-194806316.htmlThis is interesting, but the fact that U.S. supported rebels can turn in an "Alah" minute makes me see why they aren't helping with anti-air support. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. There is something called process of integration and most refugees/migrants in the past did in fact learn the language of their host country and their children speak as the natives. There is still zero evidence that IS sent anyone, in fact those who fought against IS are often falsely accused that they are from them. IS already has supporters in Europe, their goal is "khilafa" and trying to get more people to join them. Not other way around. FreePalestine
