Pop rock is not rock. Listen to or watch Iron Maiden's performances in their prime to witness true rock authenticity. I love how you're automatically viewing her as a successor or the first option that comes to mind when you hear the saying 'the next Iron Maiden', I'm sorry, but Gaga has to wait in line for that. All it takes is a slight research on today's rock acts.

You and I is basically a rock song. The same could be said about speechless which sounds like classic rock. The fact that she is a pop star simply makes the illusion that everything she makes has to have a "pop" component, or she is immediately categorized as pop even though some of her music is not. And I never said that she is the next in line to be Iron Maiden. I am simply stating that she definitely has rock authenticity as she is always very honest and devoted to this genre. And this has been common knowledge for years.

The point of my sentence was that you said Gaga fed off Tony, and we don't have to go too far to see how some people feed off others success. I never said you liked that album, don't start putting words in my mouth thank you.

Poker Face did not change the sound of music and Bad Romance did not set up a new standard for music videos. I know it's hard for you accept such thing because you basically grew up on Gaga's meteoric rise to fame and she seemed like the first to credit whenever something crazy or different occurs, but the truth is that the standard for music videos was already set by artists like MJ and Madonna in the 80's. Look at Britney's Toxic, Christina's Fighter, Madonna's Like a Prayer, Bedtime Story or Vogue. avant garde elements, shock value and dramatic cinematography was set as a standard decades ago.

I knew this thread was going to be a mess.

Madonna is an icon and she is Queen Of Pop. She earned her position and she changed the game for female pop stars. Of course Gaga brought inspiration from Madonna, very pop diva does, but Madonna brought inspiration of many other icons too.

Denying Madonna's impact is stupid but Gaga is obviously more talented than Madonna. 

We had Madonna, then we had Britney... It was about time to have a great female performer and pop icon who was able to shine for her musical talent and not only for her gimmicks. There's no one out there with the whole package except for Gaga. Beyonce is the only one who comes close but she is not a musician or songwriter.

Also denying Gaga's impact is as delusional as denying Madonna's impact. Literally everyone started to look weird as **** after Gaga came out. There were dozens of Gaga wannabes including Nicki Minaj.

Katy & Rihanna were aesthetically edge cutting fashion wise before Gaga even debuted. Who's left...Nicki? sure, she did try to jump on the Lady Gaga shtick like 5 years ago but now? they're two completely different artists.
