  1. 1. When you see the name Janet Jackson, what do you think of first (basically what do you associate her to most)?

    • Michael Jackson's little sister
      11
    • Being a chubby pop star during "Control" (This was a defining factor people point out, it's not me trying to be rude)

    • Rhythm Nation

    • Her dance skills
      3
    • The Rolling Stone topless cover
      2
    • Her acting career
      0
    • Her 90's music (janet. And The Velvet Rope)
      4
    • The dance-pop Janet of the early '00's (All For a You)

    • Wardrobe Malfunction

    • I had heard the stories of her but I always thought she was an urban legend

All of it! It's all been so big over the years.

These two songs I think of first:

Escape and Miss You Much always give me life.

I already know, my point is it didn't deserve to be a huge deal for f's sake it's a body part, the same body part media has scrubbed on our faces since like forever oh but she crossed the line, let's destroy her
MIA showing her middle finger didn't deserve to be a big deal either I M O

I agree. And her nipple was obscured by that absurd nipple ring. I bet a lot of people wouldn't have realized what happened if there wasn't a lot of controversy about it.

And I'm still mad that Justin Timberlake got off scot-free. He let the tiddy out into the world and hardly anyone blamed him for it!

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.

Don't forget to pre-order Unbreakable on iTunes tho! And give the Janet Jackson fan base thread some love!

The BOP that is "All For You." :gaycat:

This...I played that album on repeat for MONTHS as a kid and loved "Doesn't Really Matter"

Yes I know she's MJ's lil sis but she really did make her own career and went beyond just making music :legend:
