Harry 26,836
Y'all have to face the facts. Not everything is about pop girls. He is a male rapper who has become a sort of household name. He may not be as successful as he was in the early 2000's but he has some hits. The Superbowl Committee probably takes into account more than just the current trendy female pop stars. He's not even relevant for most people today though. Surely if they were to go for a rapper they'd go for someone like Kanye, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Drake, Eminem... I don't see it as being about a pop vs rap thing but if they were gonna branch out to different genres they could've done a lot better than this. I think he was just joking though, tbh. monketsharona 79,683
But 50 Cent? I can understand for the 50th Superbowl, but why him? He's still a legend of rap music... They asked the Who to perform few years ago. They are not a thing anymore (apart CSI main titles music) but they're still legends...

You also need to take into account that this is a family show so will there be songs with censorship? Will it just be him just rapping? The Who had anthems that most people would recognize. There's a difference between the acts. Again, I don't see this as the best choice if he's actually doing it.

Sister 9,907
Good, I won't have to pay any attention to this show this year. I hate sports. The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

He's still a huge name, for sure, but I don't think he has released anything for a long time? Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax." Levine 23,544
I don't know why people dared to say Little Monsters are worse than the Army.
