Most of the people I know that watch the Superbowl don't listen to pop (it's usually rock, rap, or country). It would make sense having a rapper on. But I think Drake would be an excellent choice because he is a popular rapper, he is friends with Lil Wayne, Nicki, Eminem, etc and would likely have them guest spot, lots of females like him, he also seems to have a good mix of both older and younger fans (a very profitable commercial artist) and has many hits. I know there is some dispute on "street cred" and such, but all my friends that bash him also have at least a song or two of his on their ipods. Honestly, I think any that I have mentioned would be a better choice than 50 Cent, though maybe 50 Cent was chosen since it's the Super Bowl 50? Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. He's still a huge name, for sure, but I don't think he has released anything for a long time?Well even though his last album only came out a month after Kanye's last album, Kanye's been more active as of late with singles and features. But Beyonce did the Superbowl with no current era and it was great and went down well, so I'm sure he would still be a good choice :) Better than 50 Cent, anyway.
