I agree with you so much... I hear Adele's voice on her records, and it's way more powerful than in her live performances... Even though I love her voice (Sorry Adele, I still loves you so much)  :laughga:

And then I think, there is Gaga, whose voice sounds weak in the studio records, but in her live performances it sounds TREMENDOUS. For example, I hate the studio vocals of TEOG. Her voice sounds very weak and... edited? Idk if this is the right word. Whereas the live version is WAAAAY BETTERRR... I hope in lg5 she shows her vocal abilities... She needs to make the most of her HUGE PIPES

Yeah..Adele is a good live singer though..

I don't think that her voice sounds very weak in the studio versions (compared to other popstars) but compared to her amazing live performances the studio recordings are trash.

Let's hope so. At least I want TFM quality vocals..

But I think Born This Way and ARTPOP are vocally more challenging. She even said that in an interview...

BTW had some amazing vocals too.. ARTPOP has challenging vocals but they edited them in the studio versions and made them sound bad.. MANiCURE,Sexxx Dreams,Aura have all AMAZING vocals in the iTunes festival..On the studio versions not so much

I disagre, it's just their style of singing.

Gaga didn't want a raging style of singing on TF for example. Gaga has just much more versatile voice than both of these two (amazing imo) artists.

Gaga can do her voice sound, light and cute,  heavy and angry or dark and passionate or even devasted from song to song. Her vocals are excelent actually imo.

I know what you mean and I agree. Compared to other singers Gaga doesn't really show her full range and she also doesn't use many vocal techniques in the studio which is quite sad because I'd love to hear her show off a little bit because she actually is a really strong vocalist.

I think she might be doing this on purpose - keeping it low on the studio record and then showing off live so that she surprises people and she can use adlibs and so on.

Too many people here with moral superiority complex.

Probably. I mean we shouldn't compare Gaga to other artists anyway. She is different in a lot of aspects and her music is too.

I think in her next pop album she will show her vocals a lot more similarly to Till It Happens To You.

I agree. The Edge of Glory is heavily edited. You don't even hear her breaths in between, the flow between this verse and the next verse can easily be identified as being disjointed. But no Gaga's voice is not weak, I'm not sure why but Donatella keeps lingering in my head while I'm reading this thread. I really like her vocals in Donatella, it's really fresh, clear and firm.

Well I mean weak in comparison to her live vocals, which, let's keep it real, are a lot hella better

yeah all of her vocals are autotuned (except on c2c)

but that's electronic pop music. It's more about the melody than the voice. But it's good that she has a great live voice so she can actually sing the vocals while performing (unlike britney)
