Btw a lot of the stuff you said are totally wrong  Interscope doesn't edit her vocals..SHE and her producers do that. Also the fact that they don't let her do some things doesn't mean that she can't be herself... She can't always do whatever she wants..Nobody can.. Her point was that she will never become a marketing puppet..

I never liked this "defense".

It's almost a disguised attack on her integrity, actually but I don't think most of you realize that when you type things like this :dies: Anyway, I'd be disappointed if she wasn't at least serious on some level when she says things like this. Wouldn't you be? :what:

It's not a disguised attack on anything. It's just a well founded observation that I've made. Everyone knows Gaga exaggerates things, she's a theater kid- it's a part of her speech.

No, not at all. She is also far from educated in art, if that Boticcelli's Venus de Milo is to be taken at face value and if she considers a Mona Lisa poncho "saving art".

Honestly if tony and cheek to cheek never happened I think she would have quit the commercial market and go in the underground scene again like from 2005 -2007 (I secretly wanted that to happen)

She admitted herself that Interscope decided to take the vibrato out of her vocals on every single one of her albums in 2014 :neyde:

She was so angry during that interview. She said so many times that she hates how pop music is manufactured, but she NEEDS pop music in order to have fame. Why don't you quote that too? :proud:

:awkney: She never said that sis.. She said that she doesn't like the way the pop industry works..But she does love pop music!

I'm only quoting her :dies:

"They take the vibrato out so you sound like a robot... They really control you, especially in the beginning. Although it was still my songs, and I still had a lot to say about the production, the vocal was something that they really, really wanted to control. So my vocal presence has been kind of the smallest presence about me for a long time." (Gaga in Seven magazine)

Direct me to the quotes then

If she honestly ever said that she is looking for fame in general, then I'm leaving this forum rn.

That was honestly an extremely intense interview though. I can't blame her for having some inconsistencies. I was like on the edge of my seat watching her navigate those questions and articulate her answers so carefully. Like that interview would've buried most pop girls' careers but she maneuvered it without even shifting in her seat. She did a really good job.
