I went on Periscope last night and there was a person talking about the mystery female performer at the VMAs. I said it would be awesome if Gaga was it. She replied "is she still even relevant still? What about JLo?" I was like b---h ......... JLo?....... More relevant than Gaga?..... I replied that Gaga was still VERY relevant and "Bye Felisha"ed her

ARTPOP, my favorite album is being perceived in such a negative way. :rip: but I get all your points, I'm not mad, I'm just. :emma:

Are you seriously trying to tell us that no one noticed anything related to the ARTPOP era?

'cause that would be a lie. I'm glad that your cousin missed the disaster, but pls.

There is no way people didn't notice anything after 2012 to early 2014 but they don;t have an image of the mess as we have simply because they are not fans and they don't care to follow. What does it matter really though if people think she is absent since 2013 or if they know that there is an unsuccessful Era in between? Nothing, the result is the same for them tbh. :neyde:

well, in hungary, members of the public are certainly not aware of the existence of ARTPOP. some may know about applause, but that's it. C2C? don't get me started. people at my uni are somewhat aware due to my hard work: i gave presentations and wrote essays. :rip:

once i was in a bar with some of my friends and i requested venus to be played. their reaction was priceless: is this lady gaga? wow. then they said that it's good and that they loved alejandro. ALEJADNRO! :smh:

Whispering

Most people don't pay attention to silly fan wars, articles on The Examiner, or know what album is selling how much. the majority of people see artists on awards shows, maybe a few late night shows, and hear songs on the radio or on commercials.

Gaga had two good hit songs last era, one that was big on a commercial in the U.S. and one that was big on a commercial in parts of Europe. She ended up with a top 10 album of the year and a tour that was in the top 10 grossing tour of the year. (Meaning it wasn't just stans going to see her)

These "my cousin" threads are always the same! :fail:

I suppose it makes sense that some didn't notice the album. AP felt like it was released with little fanfare compared to her previous releases. She didn't even do the typical U.S. late night talk show rounds, while C2C on the other hand had much better promo.
