I don't know what it was, it was all very weird. The majority of this forum (not kidding) hated Born This Way when I became active here (2012). When Applause was released, I remember being actually judged dramatically for not agreeing that it was better than anything on BTW. When ARTPOP was released, the same reaction.

And then somehow it all changed and now every time someone makes a thread about users' favorite record, BTW comes on top. It's very possible that people here simply can't separate music from era and started liking BTW more because it seems like the holy land compared to the ARTPOP era. But it's still ****ed up
