When, you know, actually, legacy and longevity is about having some sort of story and footprint to leave in the world when you die, chasing your talent until you're dead. And that, as an artist, you love your art 'til death. It's the antithesis of what I was taught growing up, which is that at this age I would have to fight in order to continue to look young, in order to continue to be trendy. When, you know, I never was trendy. I was always anti-trend." remember when, during the btw era, she said that she consciously wanted to look ugly all the time because her label wanted the opposite? to look pretty, that is. she just doesn't care. what she cares about is being true to her art. same here. Not really since without makeup she actually looks younger than 29. Maybe I hold the following opinion because I'm dark-haired myself, but I really appreciate it when women pop stars have dark hair because there seems to be the expectation that you have to bleach your hair/wear blonde wigs or weave if you're naturally dark-haired. In that case, lemme just quickly praise Janet and Katy for having dark hair. *inserts clapping emoticon* Isn't Katy a natural blonde too? It's like... she already has blonde hair, but she (usually) chooses to dye it dark anyways. I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand. I disagree that the blonde always makes her look older though, and as mentioned before, age isn't the first thing that comes to Gaga mind when she dresses so I don't really dwell on it much.
