All five of them? Lol

Please...they are just bothering you because you spend so much time reading every word they say in every thread created about Taylor. I see far more threads and information on Katy, Madonna, and Lana on a consistent basis on this site. Lana threads dominate the entertainment section every time she has an era, it's just her last one fizzled out so fast. Katy threads dominated here for months and months and they will come back as soon as she starts doing something other than touring. Same thing with Madonna during her last rather short era. All the stans of these girls are smug on here...a Gaga fansite. It's all the same! You have every right to complain, but this is not a situation unique to just Taylor.

If you want shelter from the Taylor talk...don't click on her threads! Is it really that hard? Instead you are one of the main contributors in almost every thread about her! You are talking out of both sides of your mouth here..."I want shelter from news about Taylor, yet I'm going to spend my time clicking on every thread about her, and then write essays about her, and respond to multiple comments...so that my comments end up on several pages of the thread! How does that make sense?

If you are really and truly tired of talking about her, click on something else! Choose to spend your time on something or someone else!

You've got a point and yes, I do post in her threads all the time. But I have every right to vent my frustration. It's just how I choose to get it out. I can't rant to anyone in real life about my frustrations, so I get them out here. It just annoys me that the one place I should be relatively free from the Taylor onslaught is on a Gaga fansite, which I go to every day. It's not the Taylor articles themselves that bother me, it's what the fans do with them. Just endless opportunities to gush and overexaggerate and say that everyone else is pressed.

It's not that I'm tired of seeing her, I'm just tired of the constant positivity left and right. You may not remember, but I did the same thing when Adele was big (and that love in was 10x worse). I think it's better than some ways I could be getting out my frustrations. I don't spam Taylor's Twitter with hate messages, send her hate mail, etc. because I'm a nice person (believe it or not!) Isn't this preferable to doing stuff like that, which could really hurt her? And hey, sometimes it just feels good to hate. And I am always one to defend the right to free speech.

And no offense, but out of all members here certain ones shouldn't be trying to throw around the word smug.

Oh, is that so? Maybe it comes off that way as it's text. If I actually spoke, you might think otherwise. Besides, when I'm being critical I do it to be just that, a critic, not to be mean. If you actually knew me you'd know I have a very low tolerance for smugness.

This is why it's suspicious to me. And honestly, a musician turning down wedding gigs isn't something that elevates them to super-nice-doesn't-care-about-money status. Artists get offered to do this pretty frequently. If refusing to sing at a wedding indicates "Totally NOT Greedy" status, then I'm sure one of these articles could be written about literally every popstar who has a stan on this site.

So true! Artists get offers like this constantly, but so few do it. It's so common that it never gets reported on. Until now. Just when Taylor needs some positive publicity.

What are you talking about? That wasn't an article, it was a blog post on Ronan's mother's personal blog. Do you think Taylor personally routed her tour to that area months in advance in anticipation for damage control?

I was referring to the articles that were printed about the blog post. And yes, I would believe this was a damage control operation. Taylor personally invited the mother to the gig so she could do this. No, she didn't plan it months in advance for damage control, but it just so happened by chance that an Arizona gig was coming up, where the woman lived. Her team saw an opportunity and set the whole thing up. Ronan was from the Red era, it was never a single, it wasn't even an album track. So, what reason did she have to sing this on tour? I'm not saying the idea wasn't sweet but it was pure damage control. It's just that most people wouldn't want to say that because of the sensitivity of the situation.

Maybe she chose to sing because not only was Ronan's mother there (who was also invited as a special guest for the Speak Now and Red tour) but also because now her own mother has been diagnosed with cancer?

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Of course you have a right to vent, but you are actually part of your own problem. No one is making you click on those threads or read every comment that is posted or comment repeatedly in every thread. You are making that choice!

Why should you be free of the " onslaught" of any artist's news in the Entertainment section of this site? This area is for discussion of other artists, outside of Gaga. Why spend so much time in this section, if you don't like hearing about other artists? Why spend so much time in Taylor's threads, if you are sick of her?

This section was established for this purpose. If you don't want to read about how other artists are doing and only come here for Gaga news, then there are many sections devoted just to Gaga!

Like you said...it feels good to you to hate...own it, instead of making the choice to hate and then complaining about the fact that you are making that choice! You are complaining about the choices that you are personally making!

This is true tho, Swifties doesn't spam like other stans, thank God my faves are flops and unkown. :whitney:

On this site, there is evidence of this with of course Gaga stans, then with Madonna, Katy, Azealia (especially before the last label drop), Arianna, and Beyonce stans. There are stans of these artists that throw out all logic when it comes to their fave or faves.

:reductive2: tbh, we all are delusional with our faves

She probably didn't turn it down for the money, people, she probably thought she's too big for such a tacky request.

Exactly. It's not that she wouldn't like the money, she's just not a wedding singer. She'd get dragged if she was caught singing at a wedding.

Maybe she chose to sing because not only was Ronan's mother there (who was also invited as a special guest for the Speak Now and Red tour) but also because now her own mother has been diagnosed with cancer?

But as I said, she personally invited her to the gig - her management probably paid for her tickets and travel too. So, she must have invited her for a reason, which was likely for postive publicity. She can't keep inviting her to every tour until the end of time and singing this song for her. After the Red tour, why did she need to ackowledge her ever again? On the topic of her mum's cancer, there's no reason why Taylor can't just bring that up in isolation and bring her mum on stage to raise awareness. I must say, cancer is a devastating experience and I'm interested to know how it's progressing. As I understand, it was caught quickly as Taylor suggested she do self-checks, so the lump was diagonised immediately. Actually, it was always in the back of my mind whenever I badmouthed Taylor, but I think her mum will survive and what I say about Taylor is in no way connected to her. I wish her a speedy recovery and can relate to what my hard experience breast cancer can be (my granny had it, but it was discovered early and she survived in her 70's so that provides a ray of hope for all sufferers) and all dangerous illnesses in general. Understand that if her mum did die of it however, I would lay off Taylor for a long time out of compassion and respect. Just wanted to make that clear. I can be a tough critic but I do have a big heart, honest.

By "onslaught," I meant the onsalught of adoration for her, not the articles in general. To see all these threads filled with stuff about her being The Lord and slaying the lessors and your faves could never is really annoying on a site dedicated to another artist.

I do own it. I've admitted a few times that I'm obsessed with the artists I hate. I've admitted that I can be a tough critic. I've admitted that I can be a bit catty and b****y at times. I'd just like to say my piece without being clocked by Taylor fans every time considering this isn't Taylor's fansite and therefore we have no obligation to be nice about her. To put into motion my feelings about Taylor...I've been thinking about the scene from Mean Girls when Janis is talking to Cady out the roof of the car. I'm Janis, Taylor is Cady. Look at that scene and you'll get the picture with my frustration about her.

yeah, she finally gets enough money through selling her albums, let them be streamed on some sites & selling tickets for her (tbh) awful tour (a spinning runway doesn't make your singing or playback any better)

she doesn't have to care...
