HausAlly 799
Didn't she also turn down $15M for that Armani campaign? When will other pop stars who shade her about money and using guns in music videos when they do the same thing I wonder that, too! I guess they are not such a Happy Hippy afterall! the shade on Miley needs to stop, she was just stating her honest opinion, no need to bash her every time taylor is mentioned, also if this is true, which i am a little curious of because it does seem like her PR are working overtime to cleanse her image, she turned down $2m so what wouldn't she make that amount just sitting on her couch watching SVU anyways? Kacey Elizabeth 900
Interesting, considering Taylor did absolutely nothing to warrant the hate. Her "selfishness" consisted of asking a big company to pay artists and protecting her intellectual ownership.Let's just disregard the fact that she's one of the rare stars who does Tour Meet & Greets absolutely free of charge (unlike other pop stars who charge their fans exuberant amounts for that) and has a long history of charitable donations behind her. What she could've done to warrant the hate? She couldn't. An artist cannot really warrant the hate that they get among the general public. If she tried, she would've came out as even more greedy and fake. Let's be honest and realistic. Taylor taking her music out of Spotify and her taking on Apple because she was scared that she wasn't going to get paid was encouraged by greed. She removed her music out to Spotify so she would be able to make more money and squeeze more blood out of her fans by selling more records (faster) and get more YouTube and VEVO views. As for her beef with Apple, it was the exact same case with Spotify, but this time she had the nerve to mention indie artists so she would distract the critics and general public from her true intention. She also did they so she wouldn't get dragged. Plus, indie musicians will always struggle. Taylor seems to ignore the fact that record labels are the ones making most of the money from streaming, more than streaming websites themselves do. Taylor's whole argument against streaming is so flawed and planned. Her management and PR team, people who are making serious money off of her, are the ones pushing for this entire thing. All celebrities donate to charities so they'll get tax breaks and they all do it for publicity, their image and celebrity status. thefamebitch 834
If she really wasn't all about money wouldn't it be better if she was to perform for free at the wedding? Lol maybe it just didn't fit into her schedule, her choosing not to perform entirely doesn't prove anything about her being greedy or not.
Chic 20,830
She turned down a stranger's request for no apparent reason whatsoever unless you link it to publicity...and then decided to perform at a friend's christening for free. I don't know, supporting a friend for free isn't nearly as noble as charging them is demented. These two situations aren't comparable. If she's trying to prove a point, I think less of her that she would be rejecting people's offers just to make it look like she doesn't care so much about money. I like Taylor but idk. Her fans stan unanimously for everything she does as a messiah (except Spock of course, as he so sweetly enlightened me ) and it's kinda delusional at times. Like the fact that Bad Blood, if written by any other artist, would be seen as juvenile, tacky and immature, suddenly once someone like Taylor writes it, all morality goes out the door because YAS STFU TAYLOR'S SLAYING YOUR FAVE #1. It's this hypocrisy to try to stan for her no matter how flexible one has to be logically that bothers me.
Kayla 7,595
I'm still caught up on the fact that someone was gonna pay millions of dollars for the music at their wedding. Imagine how much that whole wedding costs if just the music is worth millions to them. Now I'm wondering how often musicians get offers like this. And how often does it actually happen but stay a secret? Like has Gaga ever randomly played at someone's wedding and we've never known?!

Cody Draco 2,531
And how is she gonna keep faking she's a sweet girl next door if she does an Armani campaign? that doesn't make sense This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. It wouldn't make any sense for her image to do an underwear campaign. As for her not doing this gig being "selfless" it is actually "selfish", just not in a bad way. Being selfish in order to be with your friends/family instead of making money is a great thing! People trying to use this to give her the title of "selfless" is a bunch of bull**** tho.
