If you look at the time settings it goes

Murder House -> Freak Show -> Asylum -> Coven -> Hotel

1902 -> 1920's-40's -> 1940's-> ? -> Modern Day

It's kinda long but it's interesting : a timeline of all the events that occur in all the seasons (spoilers ahead) : here

You guys are all coming up with crazy theories with ghosts, purgatory **** and stuff, but tbh I don't feel like the season will have that many fantasy elements. On the contrary, I think it will be very grounded in reality, hence the particularly horrific aspect of it all. I mean, when you think about Asylum, it was probably one of the most realistic seasons ever (if you put aside the alien subplot), and for that reason it basically traumatized everyone.

And the fact characters could come back to life in either Murder House in ghost form or Coven kinda spoilt the drama of it all, and the impact of what could happen to the characters, and that's why Freak Show was also much more grounded in reality, with Ryan Murphy pointing out very early on: "In this season when you die, you die". I think they'll keep going down that road with Hotel.

T'as pas tort, après, Murphy a suggéré un retour d'anciens personnages donc on sait jamais!

Truthfully, it is blatantly clear that there was no intention until Freak Show to connect the seasons. The posters, teasers are also never as cryptic as the fans like to believe.

This is exactly why I've had a headache from the moment of the Gaga announcement. :rip:

this honestly. The teasers aren't meant to be deep. But I do remember how the main promo trailer for Coven did tell us who lived and who died.
