I'm sorry but what? :rip: Kaylee is dead. They wouldn't put her on the poster to begin with since she was in what, one episode? Like a member said before, that looks like Patti Lupone's character.

If Ryan is going by the pattern he did for Freak Show then Hotel and Murder House are going to have the most connections, then Coven will have the most connections with season 6.

The only people I can see coming on to Hotel are Constance, Micheal, or maybe flashbacks for the Harmons or something.

I mean, I guess Madison coming back as a flashback since she was such a 'famous movie star~~" could be a possibility. Maybe Ryan will actually make her character useful this season instead of a stale comic relief point (the fact that Emma Roberts is coming back is a tragedy in itself but that's beside the point and irrelevant to my distaste for her poorly written and portrayed characters). I suppose as long as I don't have to endure another diluted, unnecessary and [now for the third time] pitiful excuse of a romantic subplot between Emma's character and Evan's character then I'll ignore her presence in the later episodes.

I just don't see how anyone from Coven could be coming on here and I am thinking that only characters from Murder House will show up. Who knows with Ryan Murphy. He either makes smart choices or terrible choices. There's no in between with him.

I'm fairly sure they hadn't even the Hotel (or Freak Show) idea back when this poster was made, so it's definitely a no.

And this is probably Patti Lupone's character. Her character might seem insignificant in retrospect, but she's definitely a name to put up a poster, hence her presence in numerous promo ads.

I do agree that it's a random placement, but she was in a lot of the promo

You guys are all coming up with crazy theories with ghosts, purgatory **** and stuff, but tbh I don't feel like the season will have that many fantasy elements. On the contrary, I think it will be very grounded in reality, hence the particularly horrific aspect of it all. I mean, when you think about Asylum, it was probably one of the most realistic seasons ever (if you put aside the alien subplot), and for that reason it basically traumatized everyone.

And the fact characters could come back to life in either Murder House in ghost form or Coven kinda spoilt the drama of it all, and the impact of what could happen to the characters, and that's why Freak Show was also much more grounded in reality, with Ryan Murphy pointing out very early on: "In this season when you die, you die". I think they'll keep going down that road with Hotel.

Ryan announced that all of the seasons were connected after they had shot three standalone seasons, with only cute, small winks here and there. So even if I don't believe in this theory, imo all the connections that we will see going forward are going to be reaches like this since they have to pull a "connected universe" or whatever out of their asses, four years into a TV show that was not conceived that way

Truthfully, it is blatantly clear that there was no intention until Freak Show to connect the seasons. The posters, teasers are also never as cryptic as the fans like to believe.

This is exactly why I've had a headache from the moment of the Gaga announcement. :rip:

I think it will feature Hell in some aspect.

I've been curious about the whole "returning characters" aspect of this season. I mean, I'm not a super avid fan of the series, so I'm going by what Chanel said, that the idea to loosely connect any of the seasons at all was more retroactive to what they did with Pepper and Sister Mary Eunice in Freak Show (which seemed cool, imo, though ultimately still a very loose connection).

What I'm wondering, with the whole idea of multiple dimensions (Coven) and interstellar beings (Asylum), is if the universes of Murder House, Asylum, and Coven are all separate, and something ties them together (what with the theory that the Hotel is some sort of gateway, or... something).

Huh, you're right. Even with the aliens, satan, an angel, Nazi science experiments, and Adam Levine, Asylum really did ground its horrors within the depravity of its human characters.

Though, I feel like since that's been such a consistently used theme throughout all the seasons, I've been kind of thirsting to see how a purely monster-based horror would do on AHS (cult horror? Cthulu based mythos? Native American folklore in the forest? etc).

All considering, Hotel does seem like it's gonna be grounded in reality, and is probably gonna be more sophisticated and flat-out horror, going by how Murphy's been describing it.

If you look at the time settings it goes

Murder House -> Freak Show -> Asylum -> Coven -> Hotel

1902 -> 1920's-40's -> 1940's-> ? -> Modern Day

If you look at the time zones its possible that it goes

Murder House -> Freak Show -> Asylum -> Coven -> Hotel

I thought Murder House was modern, or at-least semi-modern?

I gotta give more attention to the show :laughga:

Murder House is also Modern I think, but the it's got lots of flashbacks to do with the deaths

Also I was wrong

It goes 1920's-2015 -> Late 1920's/Early 1930's -> 1930's-1950's-> 2012 -> Hotel

           MH -> ASYLUM -> FRAKSHOW -> COVEN -> HOTEL
