Her team is hands down the best out of all the teams all other pop girls have. She could decline but I'm sure Taylor's team will handle the over exposure well. Same thing happened with Gaga during the BTW era, but sadly her team was falling apart and her over exposure hurt her as well as the gay imagery.

Whoever is hoping she declines, do you really attain closure and become happy by watching people fail? :wtf: Disgusting. If you don't like her on your TV or radio station, then change the channel. Damn you're all so bitter and hateful.

1989 is at 7.8 million

Pretty sure they were using the reported numbers by IFPI,  the 8.6 million that was reported in February of this year.

the IFPI number is shipments. It's at a bit over 7.9 million and should hit 8M in like 1 week and a half

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Yeah, I know. That's the number they were using when they gave the 9 million number earlier.

well i think she can top 1989 musically, but she can't top her success....in that case i mean she probably will either have the same success for her next album or go downhill a little

With today's music climate, I would have never predicted that she could match her best numbers from years ago. These numbers are really an accomplishment!

Writing about failed relationships and not taking any sort of musical risk will only get you so far... Yeah she may sell another million records but you can't always be on top...eventually you'll have your "flop" record...

Look at Rihanna...she was putting out an album every year and each had amazing singles...then R8 happened and yeah...nobody ever thought she could flop so hard...even worse than ARTPOP imo

So yes...Taylor will flop eventually and people will grow tired of her manipulative attitude and good girl persona... I know I am

I don't think she will ever have her decline. I think many of us are expecting her to eventually "flop" like Gaga did with ARTPOP, but it will never happen with Taylor.

She may have a slight decline in sales, but even so, people will never start calling her a flop just because she's not as polarising a figure as Gaga was. She'll always be America's sweetheart and will always sell no matter what. That's her brand, she's as safe as can be.

I guess changing genres completely from Country-pop to 80s-pop is not riské enough for pressed stans, but saying she only writes about failed relationships means you haven't been paying attention.

Although I'm sure at some point, some record from her career won't sell 1M+ records on its first week, yeah. Everyone has had 'flop albums', even Madonna.
