Wait, I think there might be a possibility Gaga will make a surprise cause Anything Goes was a surprise after all. Still think she will rely on hype tho. After all the hype has already started, lol.

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I'm here for a surprise release. iTunes exclusive. Her label needs to treat radio right, too, though. :)

I'd say she does a surprise hype type of thing.

Announce the lead single a few hours or even minutes before it drops.

what about surprise hype? Like announce the single 10 days before the release.

Sort of how Applause was served? The song was planned and hyped in advance but then it got surprise released after all those LQ and HQ leaks. (911 Pop Emergency) :hunty: But I know this is slightly different from your point.

Ideally we'd have none of those, but surprise release is somehow better than early hype.

A surprise release would get ppl saying she copied Beyoncé, so let's avoid that. Creating too much hype would get a lot of ppl against the song, so let's not go for that as well...

Just announce on twitter that "a surprise is coming in 5 days"... not making a fuss about it in order not to create  a lot of pressure on herself...point being: she should do what she has been doing since the beginning of this year: don't hype ppl up, just go there and wow them with your talent. Let your music do the talking.

I say a surprise release would be good, however I think the video should be dropped the same day for publicity. It also needs a performance first week. She should also get a radio deal similar to the one of Pretty Girls but longer. For a surprise release to work, it needs promo and publicty, otherwise it'll drop faster then Work Bitch.

i would say a two week hype, she tweets about it two weeks before and begins a countdown to generate interest and get everyone excited, surprise releases are a big gamble tbh.

I really hope we get the video + song on the same day this time. It would slay harder than us watching a video of a song we already heard before.

I agree. Anaconda and Bang Bang were hyped to the top of the charts.
