Girl... I know that people are too harsh on you but stop. It's just a music video and it's inspired by an action movie. What did you expect? A public service announcement?

Miley is right about people judging her and not other things but she didn't have to bring down someone else's job to defend hers.

And isn't she the one who sings about doing lines in the bathroom? Guns are bad but heavy d--gs are pretty bad too.

Love her when she does good things but she needs to understand that there are more reasons to dislike her than just her showing her boobs.

The video wasn't even violent :rip:

GGD suddenly sipping Miley's tea when they were wetting themselves over BBHMM just a few weeks ago :rip:

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Plus can someone point me in the direction of the people who are using the BB video as an example of why Taylor is a good role model? :rip:

I agree that Miley shouldn't be demonized for her s-xual nature but Taylor's video isn't meant to be taken seriously... the violence in it doesn't even seem "real" you know? It's a great video imo.

That seems worse to me, silly fake violence. Goofy violence numbs people to the reality of violence. The video is full of fighting, guns, Selena Gomez is breaking some guys arm, Ellie Golding is shooting a bazooka..it all just desensitizes people to cruelty of real violence. I think showing the brutality of violence is healthier for everyone.

Tho I do agree with Miley about the "bad role model" thing, I hate how people are coming at Taylor for everything. Like, she made a song about having bad blood with someone. That doesn't mean she hates women or that she thinks women should be in constant competition. She just wrote a song about a moment in time where she had bad blood with someone; which is literally a moment in time that everyone has :rip:  Plus, the music video is hardly violent or gory :rip:

this is coming from someone who doesn't even like Taylor's music. I just think it's stupid when people try and tear someone down for stupid reasons, JUST because he/she is doing well. Like, ****ing build a bridge, make some new, and good, music, and get over it..

Right to bear arms, not right to bear titties. Miley is kind of pissing me off. She's just jealous that Bad Blood is better than We Can't Stop aka a Just Dance rip off.

I do not like either, but I do agree with Miley here, but her stuff is not anything grand either.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Lmao it's not just a sad song though, is it? She and her team are so smart, they play the publicity game so well. We all know that song is about Katy, and they put all those good looking women in that video so all the gays can snap their fingers and yassss cos it makes Taylor look like the hero, and Katy is the bad guy. It's actually really snaky and horrible. Gaga never targeted another artist like that, so it's not the same thing.

I am not comparing Gaga to taylor, I am just pointing out how the industry always goes after female pop singers when they get super successful and at the top of their game.

Tbh she has a point

Pretty little miss Taylor who is America's sweetheart can't do a thing wrong. Blinded folk with her pretty girl-next-door-image for so long that no one saw the violent element of the Bad Blood video.

I do kinda like Swift but the overexposure is just too much, doesn't she get fed up herself!?

I personally disagree about the Bad Blood music video being a bad example, since it's not supposed to be taken literally, but I get what she's saying and it's valid.

I love Taylor, but she makes a good valid point!

I love how 'straight to the point' Miley is! :toofunny:

In my messy era.

Even if I don't like Miley that was absolutely right. Violence (Bad Blood) and paranoid girl killing her bf (Blank Space) are much more insulting than Miley showing her titties

As @Skank so eloquently explained above, silly violence numbs people to the true reality of real violence. Not to mention the video of Bad Blood was nothing but a million celebrity cameos that were pointless and trivial. It just seems like Taylor can never go a day without showing the world that she's BFFs with Victoria Secret models and random actors & musicians. It's getting tiring.

BBHMM's violence was more akin to Tarantino or even Gaga's violence in Telephone. The use of violence in those videos seems more like a commentary IMO.
