Is Gaga today's most versatile vocalist? Almost all current artists sound the same no matter what genre they try (Taylor, Katy, Bruno, ect). On the other hand, Gaga sounds like a completely different singer almost within every song she sings/makes. Is like Gaga is many singers in one person, or like she said, " I am every icon". What do you think?

I think she is. She's one of the most vocally different pop stars out there. She's proven to be able to do multiple genres without sounding too forced or robotic. In short she slays. ???

I think she definitely is. Now that I think of it, I can't really think of anyone who can pull off as many genres as her. Pop, Jazz, Classical, Rock, Alternative, RnB, Rap, Theatre. She truly does have a God given talent. :legend:

She's the only one I can think of, at least in the pop world.

slightly below or equal to Beyonce, yes. Both singers show near perfect control of their voices and as such can adapt it to anything.

Gaga, however, is far more daring with the way she utilizes her vocals and takes it much further than Bayonse.

I agree that Beyonce is also extremely versatile but somehow I think Gaga is not below nor equal but above her.

The way Gaga sings reveals classical voice training. Usually when a singer has classical technique down he or she can adapt it to other styles. Plus we all know Gaga's many stories of how not only pop but rock and roll, jazz, and theatre have impacted her young musical life, so her classical training added to her extremely impressive oneness with many genres, along with her theatre experience make her the most versatile today.

The only other artists I can think of that match her versatility are Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, but she's taking it even further than they did because her voice actually sounds different when singing in different styles. Elvis and Michael normally sounded the same but just had different styles of music behind them, but Gaga actually plays the part, taking on vocal characteristics of the style.

She is. She has a talent that exceeds her peers, even the greats dare I say. She knows how to do special things with her voice that nobody else can. I've been listening to pop music for 20+ years and I am pretty obsessed with it. Tony Bennett is right!
