#LG5 will succeed... Here's why

it'll be seen as an improvement but that doesn't necessarily translate into "slaying." BTWs opening week sales (not including Amazon) was slayage...  1989 was slayage.. Unless something really spectacular happens LG5 will do slightly better than ARTPOP but not much more

Okay it may not **** on everyone's fav but it will certainly be better than your average Rihanna era or something of the like.. far from a flop is what im trying to say

how will we know when w haven't heard a single song from the album?

I dont think its hard for gaga to whip up an ok album. We know that it wont be horrendous. So even a mediocre sounding album would do well due to the points i listed above.

I can give you a giant kiss for saying that hard cold truth. ARTPOP was not a flop and I don't understand why people mainly fans don't like it. I mean the album has amazing tracks and it was an amazing tour.

I loved ARTPOP, having 1 averagely successful album vs 3 amazingly successful albums is astonishing

IMO it's kind of early to judge success without a lead single out. You can usually form some sort of an idea based on how the pre-album singles pan out.

What made you say that ARTPOP was a last minute album? The album was prepared for almost a year and materials began to develop during The Born This Way Ball.

Also ARTPOP had sufficient promotion before Do What U Want's music video mess. It was reasonable that it sold 2,500,000 copies worldwide. So it's not like Gaga didn't put effort into promoting her album at all and garnered such massive numbers, she did work for it.

But anyway I do have faith in LG5. She knows how important promotion is considering the lessons she learnt from G.U.Y. She would be a fool to choose not to promote her album again.

The only reason many called ARTPOP a flop or an under performing album is because of it's sales- pure and simple. Fans at the time believed this delusional rumour that it was the most pre-ordered album in iTunes history and expected it to debut with half a million sales based on those "pre-orders" alone. 

PR image has a lot to do with success in the modern age of pop, look at Taylor, Katy and Beyoncé- they have good PR and try to keep their image clean. Gaga's image was tarnished a lot by BTW (which I say is purely down to the fact the GP have a homophobic, currently fake and basic attitude) plus being high, the Twitter beefs, the GP believing she was attacking Kelly Osbourne and that fake gif of her calling Adele fat spread like wildfire (I remember many people irl asking me about it actually) then she tarnished it in the ARTPOP era with her atrocious fashion choices, defensive attitude towards Applause v Roar and her desperate denial of her being a flop. Plus it became trendy in 2012 and is still trendy now to drag celebrities down.

id say all of this is why ARTPOP didn't do so well, the music was amazing and y'all would've thought so if it had multiple #1s and VEVO record breaking videos, her image and sales from GP are massively important despite what some delulu fans think, she does have to have some commercial appeal- both from an image and music perspective- and I believe she realises that now.

 

To ensure you're not disappointed, take a page from my book- expect it to sell no more than ARTPOP did as a MAX and expect the songs to only reach top 10, sure there's a possibility of her getting a #1 from the lead single but that'll only happen if she has little to no competition at the release time.
