Giorno Giovanna 3,178
ok but do you not think she'll be throwing away the pop legacy she been building for the last near decade? i think she shouldn't go out full punk-rock because it's just not pragmatic, maybe have some punk/rock influences on the new album but don't let the sonic of the album be defined by that genre alone. also im a new member how do i upload an avatar? i've been trying to upload one but it wont show up. Miel 15,009
I like it, but I'm thinking more heavy electro-rock. 3 points in and ready for more
Gianni Versace 2,987
yeah i realised so i changed my answer sorry venting but no i don't think gaga could pull that off, I think she needs to reinvent her sound with a more minimal electronica-house-pop inspired sound like Years & Years has, i love Communion and think she'd suit a stripped down sound like that that's not reinventing her sound at all. wasn't bad romance/ tfm minimal electronica-house-pop? i think if anything, she needs to drop electronic music for a while because not only is it becoming outdated but it's nothing really new or fresh. Ursula Buffay 73
What a mess. Would be messier than the ARTPOP era
Fiona Apple 13,006
Well you can't even say with certainty that we will be alive tomorrow..But MOST LIKELY a rock album like this would hardly have hit, wouldn't be played in the radio.. Gaga's voice IS very versatile but I just don't think that her tone fits to this kind of music

gagzus 15,889
that's not reinventing her sound at all. wasn't bad romance/ tfm minimal electronica-house-pop? i think if anything, she needs to drop electronic music for a while because not only is it becoming outdated but it's nothing really new or fresh. no? LMFAO Bad Romance was electro-pop with industrial pop influences and a hardstyle dance synth, then the rest of the album was inspired by a mixture of other genres; hip-hop, euro-pop, new wave, classic rock, country-rock, r&b and synth-pop. she's never put out anything that's true electronica nor house, the closest she came to house was the influence in Scheiße. And no it isn't it just gets reinvented, dance music has been around since the early 80s and has charted within the top 40 A LOT since, there were major dance hits in the 80s, 90s, 00s and now- plus as she's said herself since like 2011 she makes dance music. And there's nothing wrong with her continuing to make dance music tbh, if she changes genres all the time then sure her reputation as a chameleon of genres will stick but it'll get messy and she'll constantly gain and then lose fans. And besides if she changes her genre because of the "outdated" sound you speak of (which it isn't and never will actually be outdated & House is the new "it" genre slowly creeping into the top 40 actually) that's her literally following what commercial critics and the commercial world want her to do, if anything I actually hope just to piss people off the next album is 100% generic and has a lot of vocal editing just to piss off the annoying stans. But as I said, we can already tell the next album is gonna be electro-pop and disco anyway.
Born Brave 2,072
Nahhhh it's just not Gaga esque it doesn't have enough bounce. I say Summer Boy from The Fame is a perfect blueprint for an album with a "Funk" "Rock" "Pop" sound
aaronyoji 2,054
OMGGG i would love if gaga went hole. but i wouldn't say celebrity skin hole, i'd say violet hole, or doll parts hole.

ARTPOP the majority of it sounded really dated. it could've been made in 2010, some of the songs.
Riot Poof 2,236
I'm more here for Pretty on the Inside and Live Through This Hole tbh.And I don't necessarily want that sound for Gaga. In terms of rock, I think piano rock, soft rock, and electronic rock suits her best. But who knows. I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
