I completely agree with him. I hadn't thought of the fact that a shorter album might be beneficial to the quality of the songs! I hope she doesn't have us waiting for a whole year! (hoping for an April release)

You will never please everyone.

If ARTPOP and Born This Way had like 11 songs they would be masterpieces. I agree with everything they said.

I agree with them tbh :whitney: Even though they dunked on SxSW, which is one of my favorite performances, I think she would be commercially wise to continue on C2C's arc of showcasing musicality and charisma first.

What's so funny is that ARTPOP didn't really follow any particular pop music trends (aside from being electronic-dance which, let's face it, she was instrumental in bringing back anyway), nor did it seem like she was really concerned about accessibility and commercial performance.

ARTPOP obscured Gaga’s natural gift underneath melting synthesizers and finicky song arrangements

The Fame Monster and The Fame utilized more blatant vocal fx, and very few of the songs showcased her range and power like "DWUW", "Dope", "MJH", and "Aura" did though. :flop:

"What Gaga needs for her next album is a cohesive set of 10 to 11 supremely sturdy songs, because sometimes, less is more"

absolutely agree :applause:

I don't think anyone has ever not bought an album thinking "oh my god there's too many songs on here, aint nobody got time for that" :smh:

I mean, I understand the idea that too many tracks can water down the overall quality of an album, but so what? If Gaga thinks it fits, more power to her. Those "superfluous" tracks could end up being someone's favorite. And people who don't like them can just skip.

Personally I rarely ever listen to full albums anyway. If I like half of the tracks on an album, I'm happy.

i agree with having the album be 10-11 tracks.12-14 is ok.i would prefer not to have a long album because u do run the risk of fillers. i love btw but if im being honest they were some songs that i would skip over. i also agree with showcasing her voice. she has such a great range.

the article made good points overall.dont know if i necessarily agree with her having co writers. maybe on 1 or 2 songs. but i love that that she writes her songs herself.
