Shadow 6,640
When Gaga first came to the scene with the Fame, she easily became popular with the GP with what appeared to be a safe, conventional appealing album, though ultra s-xual and bold. She already accomplished that, but it required her to be kind of fake and I can imagine it would be boring for her now. Think about it, being safe is like giving in and catering to culture that dolls up their bombshell pop icons just to destroy them like Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Selena, Britney Spears, and Christina before her. Gaga is a rebel at heart. Why do people want her to cater to the same old sick established system when she can break out and do her own thing, at least enjoying her work. I think that is one of the reasons she remains strong and has not broken down for the most part in the limelight like other major celebrities. Stand in the light, cast your shadow. liz89 373
...and that's why I love her so much and why she's my favorite artist! I don't want her to take the safe way..she'll never be this kind of an artist. and believe me, she will remembered by the GP for not being like the others..becoming a legend and being popular is not only about selling lots of albums..it's about the whole personality you are. Bradley 59,648
I personally think it is possible to be mainstream and experimental at the same time. I hope she puts effort in it because it would be a waste if she doesn't. She can easily grab the hearts of both critics and GP if she manages herself properly.
