He seems like he only did it because it was a way to combat LGBT Pride. Or if his reasoning really was to get the point across that some people are just straight that's fine but he's not given crap for being straight or facing discrimination for it.

And let's be realistic, Cisgendered White Men really have no room to talk in regards to being oppressed and treated unfairly as that's the majority of America anyway.

It really backfired on him in that he was literally the only one there.

People like him show that supporters of straight pride are really just homophobic and transphobic cishets who are mad that LGBT+ people are visible, asking for our rights, and getting our rights.

Even if straight people were to argue some bull**** reason that it's not against us, straight culture just doesn't exist. It's called the "default" culture. What is there to celebrate? The fact that you don't have to worry about being straight until you realize that not everyone is like you? The fact that society panders to straight (and cisgender) people? The fact that straight (and cisgender) people aren't oppressed? Are straight pride supporters gonna support trans straight people or just cis straight people?

Basically, straight pride is just obnoxious if not an outright attack on LGBT+ people. That dude deserved to flop.
