She's successful, that's for sure, but I wouldn't really call her the next Madonna. I wouldn't really call anyone the next Madonna, no one seems to remain relevant long enough to have that much of an impact

How so? considering Taylor's first 5 albums did as well as Madonna's first 5 albums... And that's in the current sales climate which is way lower than the one in the 80s.

Taylor has been around for almost a decade now and she's still on top.

No she is Taylor Swift of our generation.

That is true.

Taylor got all her fame and success by writing good music and being a nice girl. Madonna relied on controversy, which is the easier route IMO.

That doesn't make her the next 'Madonna' :lmao:

In a few months she, along with any other pop-stars in line for this title could be out the door. Title's like these are completely ludicrous, even when applied to talents like Gaga.

Taylor Swift: 5,534,000
Fearless: 8,861,000
Speak Now: 5,000,000
Red: 6,000,000
1989: 7,500,000

Are we just gonna disregard the fact that Taylor has been slaying for 10 years now?

At least Madonna's music is a piece of art, she has been experimenting with her music throughout her whole career, while TayTay can write only about her ex's and her songs have the same basic sound, nothing unique

Ew NO, NEVER. That girl may be successful, but Madonna did so many things that put her in an important status in POP MUSIC.

Taylor Swift hasn't done anything really important for POP MUSIC, more than selling a bunch of albums...

You're clearly delusional.

Taylor's albums are the only albums that sell more than 1,000,000 in one week. NO other pop girl is doing that, and no other pop girl will probably do that in a long time.

She has been extremely relevant for a decade now. Take your delusion elsewhere.
