Since Shake It Off, she's been everywhere in the most obnoxious way, and she's been defended every step of the way. Gaga, at her peak, was not universally loved. There was backlash from the moment she started. Haters invoked her name to signal the decline of not just pop music, but Western civilization. Taylor hasn't had half of that hatred, not even with all her incredibly famous boyfriends. While I don't dislike her, it's chilling how much everyone loves her without any conditions.
