Redstreak 6,653 Posted July 23, 2015 Share Posted July 23, 2015 One of the marked differences between Wrecking Ball and Anaconda is that WB was part of a COMPLETE reinvention on Miley's part that took the entertainment world by storm, Anaconda was something we've already seen countless times from Nicki. If Miley had started her career with what she's currently doing, WB wouldn't have been much of anything at this point and would have probably missed a nom as well. Meanwhile, Gaga's been slowly rebuilding her image after ARTPOP's collapse. I pray that AHS: Hotel and her upcoming album are successes. I'm ready for my fave to come back with a vengeance. Nicki made the issue about race in order to get sympathy conveniently after white bread TayTay responded to her. That was a cheap move to pander to SJWs. It's not even valid when putting the situation into context. (And as Kingsley said, there are many black artists who rarely, if ever, get recognized. Nicki is not one of them.) As for Katy, I have little love for her and her stans in general, and I already said my piece on how "Bad Blood" doesn't make Taylor hypocritical/anti-feminist. The hilarious bit here is Katy coming out from being nicki to poke the fire with an Unfathomably dumb tweet. Like... holy crap, learn English. No wonder her songs are to terrible. Nicki has demonstrated she doesn't truly care about these issues unless they affect her. It's like no one remembers her throwing her fellow black women under the bus calling them banana-eating chimpanzees and nappy-headed hos just a few years ago. Plus, it's like Kingsley said, it's not like she's propping up Tinashe and the rest, she's just mad Anaconda (which is horrible) didn't get nominated for this one meaningless award (whereas it got other nominations and wasn't completely snubbed). And why is she giving the VMAs all this reverence but can't even be bothered to remember what award she got at the BET's? She's giving the VMAs far more credit that they deserve. Kanye teas.Taylor made herself look stupidly narcissistic in this whole debacle. Katy finally got her dig in, but in the end she's not that great either. Never have I ever been so vehemently team no one, lol. It's all so eye roll inducing, and everyone involved is dumb AF.
