Why do things have to be categorized as "disastrous"?

If you don't like a performance then no that doesn't make it horrible, but you can think something is horrible, it's all subjective  You'll find people who find the most agreed upon amazing performance horrible, there's nothing that can be done about that really, it's just personal preference :laughga:

Well if someone makes something that doesn't mean you're obliged to love it or praise it, you can call a spade a spade if that's how you truly feel towards it. If you aren't going ahead and bashing and being outright rude then it should be fine  It's a balance really, people need to not take criticism to heart all the time and build a thick skin, but people dishing out criticism need to stay within the limit before it goes too far into plain insulting territory :omg:

It is what it is... you can't police people into expressing themselves the way you see fit.

I wouldn't call any Gaga performance a "disaster" even if you don't like it, because words carry a specific meaning and you can't qualify that a "disaster" in the same way you say a plane crash is a disaster. Unless you are a drama queen and like to use words in a metaphoric/hyperbolic way, which is ok, I guess, but cannot be taken objectively. I wouldn't call, for instance, a Ms Perry bad performance a disaster, just a bad performance.

Because of my thread title? That had nothing to do with how she performed. It was the things that happened to her during the performance. People are always twisting meaning and should read my posts :toofunny:
