Disastrous Performance

Ermmm if you think this is bad have you seen the X Factor UK performance of

I thought this performance was good. Her vocals were good and it wasn't about the costume and theatrics so much. Also, I loved that she was in minimal costuming and had her real hair on DWUW.

.... excuse you. She was emotional during that performance, nothing disastrous about it :saladga:

You can be emotional and perform your song without singing (and playing) wrong notes. The song took over Gaga and was more powerful than her, which is a beginner's mistake. The screaming wasn't necessary neither, nor in key. She had no vocal control whatsoever that night. (I won't even bother talking about her look, that's not even the subject, but it's not here to help let's be real)

She performed many emotional songs at defining times during her career and personal life (Speechless, TEOG, Born This Way to quote a few) and at very difficult/important points of her life, and she never lost control like she did at the YouTube Awards. This performance is a trainwreck from start to finish. Fortunately, she proved me that she could make a perfection out of this song with her David Letterman performance. I'll always consider Dope@YouTube Awards as the worst performance of her career, unless she delivers something worse one day (I hope and trust her she won't).

If you think this is a disastrous performance, maybe you should watch Dope at the YouTube Music Awards. In comparison, this one is on Paparazzi @VMAs level.

But that performance... wasn't bad?

All of what you said is true. I guess I just don't necessarily see it as 'bad'.

Maybe I've just been scorned by the HML/BTW/MTN New Year's Eve performance. I hated that. Lowkey still do.

I don't disagree with the point you're trying to make but she had just received news that Troy Carter decided to leave her that night.  How emotional do you think she felt when this just before her new album dropped?

Have you ever tried singing when you feel like bawling?  I have, and it's so effin hard.  I know for a fact that Gaga would have sung that song just fine that night of Troy dropped the news after the performance.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
