yeah, please don't post ALL IN CAPS as it's against forum rules and it sounds like you are shouting at people, thanks.

Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster? Will pay you for it. Pic: http://i.imgur.com/UWuzumk

People will add the word "flop" to anything even if it necessarily doesn't make sense just because they can and want to.

There's no way to prevent it and even if it was to work it wouldn't guaranteed it wouldn't be a failure.

"The Flop Monster" got me screaming omg.

Has no one mentioned "FARTPOP" yet? That's a personal favorite of mine.

The problem with Born This Way and ARTPOP is that their names are easy to make fun of. "ARTFLOP" sounds very catchy, so that term spreads like wildfire. ARTPOP didn't really flop, but with everyone calling it ARTFLOP it became known as so.

How to avoid spectacle flop:

Have a name that has only one syllable, or with two syllables, it has to be very vague.

For example, if "Explicit Beauty" was the name, people will call it "explicit flop". "Barcode" will become "Flop Code"

However, if it's called "Paint" or something, the name becomes untouchable. "Eden" has two syllables but is also untouchable. "Flopden" doesn't really make sense or sound clever, so people can't mess with it.

You get the point.

So that's why PRISM didn't flop :neyde:

this I think
