I just now noticed that not every date has the full band and orchestra :noparty:

I guess it depends on the venue

I think so too.

Are we supposed to day what we prefer in this thread btw? 'cause I prefer a smaller band for the tour, I love a full orchestra for a special recording like the PBS Special though :flutter:

I know, I didn't ask a question in the OP, haha. But I thought it deserved a topic and that people could discuss this.

But nobody seems to care to come to/answer in this topic

I there anywhere you can check what the setup will be?

I like both. Orchestra because it adds so much depth especially with some violins it's very pretty. But I also love it with just the bands cause it's more jazzy, spontaneous.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

I doubt it :/ Maybe some organizations put it on their website

Yeah, I think the same thing and it makes me kinda sad :( I looked up photos from last years and the stage was very small and not deep at all. So if they don't organize it differently, we will have the small band :( I hope that at least we get the complete light show and accessories!

the lights won't be a problem I think, but there won't be the diamond 'curtain' and i'm pretty sure there won't be the orchestra, also because the ticket price is extremely low when you look at other dates...

I guess it depends on the venue

At Tivoli yesterday, they had two bands behind them on stage.  An actual orchestra didn't make an appearance, though I kept hoping some of the violins etc. would pop in as extra backing for one of the songs, perhaps from the old bandstand hidden behind the rear curtain (the stage used to be for circus performances, so there was an elevated bandstand backstage), or maybe responding from their concert hall at the other end of the venue.

Behind them on stage were two pianos and two platforms.  Each piano had its own person playing it and each platform had the rest of a jazz band on it (drummer, bass, various others).

I went to the Houston show and it had the small band and no diamond curtain and it was just fine. It didn't bother me.

Same in Belgium yesterday, and it indeed still slated. It was so amazing !!! :flutter:

I think it depends on the songs. Some work better with a big Band / Orchestra and some work best with just the small Quartet or Quintet. I think when a big band is really rocking they sound fantastic though

Given the choice I would like to see both set up available at the show but I guess sometimes logistics just don't allow for it
