It boosts tourism, increases trade, lowers interest rates for the government and causes lower inflation.Look at the consequences Switzerland has seen this year because of the Euro's devaluation... meanwhile Austria profited from that. TiphEret 1,320 Posted July 6, 2015 Share Posted July 6, 2015 I think the EU should push more trustworthy countries like the UK, Denmark and Sweden towards membership to make the Eurozone more financially stable. East-Europeans countries can wait but eventually when they have mature economies they should join too.I think the biggest mistake of the Eurozone is that memberstates have too much power. We need some kind of thing that automatically fines countries with a deficit of 3%+, instead of leaving it to a vote. That would make countries grow closer to eachother to eventually become a fiscal union. Right now regional differences are too big...I really don't see them joining the Eurozone after such a mess. In Denmark there are a lot of people from southern europe coming for jobs because the pay is so much better and Danes knows that. they are already afraid of foreigners lowering their living standard so the euro would be a really strange choice! I didn't really thought about the euro that much before this mess with Greece but now I wonder if it was smart idea at all. The Greeks vote 'no' on borrowing more money and can't pay back the money they owe....The Germans are the bad guys in all of this mess....Why? like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. The corruption was at a high level.So they feel it's unfair Germany should rule for them. But I can see your point, the bag guys are the politicians but I would be pissed if otehr countries had to intervene and tell me what to do, especially if they have it ok. I am not saying Germany is wrong, they gave Greece ****load of money.
