Will Gaga ever make something as haunting & successful as Thriller? (song)

I am a huge ridiculous MJ fan, but Thriller is definitely not my favorite and never was.  Yes it was very very successful due to the video (which was "viral" in the sense of that time, because demand for it was so high they played it every hour on the hour on MTV).  But I do not see it as dark at all, it is more camp and kitsch to me.  I think Bad Romance and other Gaga videos succeed better at "dark" and from that album Billie Jean is actually darker in theme and a more iconic and simply better and more respectable song.

Same, Billie Jean has always been the superior song to me. I think the production sounds better too.
