Off-topic, I know, but I love your visual representation on the boards! So classy and the only example of font etc. changing I can think of that's actually pleasant
Iwontell 7,312
Ppl are losing interest in electronic-girly-pop music...it's a scenario that favors anyone who can come up with something that feels fresh...is Gaga the one who's going to do it? Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it...I mean, she's seems to be aiming for a rock-ish vibe with her next material and, to me, everything seems to be pointing to a Funk/Disco influenced sound as the next big thing, so...And, putting aside all this "what's the trend? who's the most relevant?" thing, I think there are fewer ppl rooting against her this time around...which, I guess, works on her favor...But there's always going to be competition, you guys...the whole thing is not turning it into rivalry (which is a very different thing)...fans are usually the ones who turn healthy competition into sad rivalry... ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.
Bellatrix 34,796
2016 is gonna be 2013 part 2 which was 2011 part 2. So 2016 will be 2011 part 3? Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?
Red 97,987
I think pop girls should have some kind of agreement they won't release albums on the same year If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
Creyk 17,817
I am 100% sure that by the time Gaga finally feels ready and comes out with whatever, Katy/Adele or another big star will be there too to steal her thunder. Whether Gaga wins the battle only depends on how good the music she puts out is, and how smart her promo will be.
monsterdreams 1,529
I'd say it could work out for her Haters gonna need more than a flashlight for my shade
Bradley 59,149
Katy, Adele and Gaga are all releasing new music in 2016 so.. EDIT: I'm not sure about Adele but just guessing. Rihanna's a smart girl to pick 2015 instead of 2016. She has always avoided competition somehow.
Bellatrix 34,796
I think pop girls should have some kind of agreement they won't release albums on the same year That wasn't serious, right? Dominic 11,922
Are the pop girls taking a break tho?Britney, Katy, Gaga, Rihanna, Adele, Miley, Beyoncé and several smaller pop girls like Selena and Demi are all releasing between now and the end of 2016 it would appear so there isn't really a break at all. Besides why do we underestimate Gaga, she was the #1 artists until ARTPOP and now everyone doubts her. I say release when everyone else is, id rather Gaga be ontop because she deserves it not by default because no one else is releasing. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
Skyline 34
I'd like to see her succeed in 2016, but that's only possible if there is proper promotion and good music available to promote. Also, less competition will be better, but I have a feeling that there will be others releasing just because most do often take 2 or 3 years between albums, so coinciding with each other is inevitable. That said, I hope Adele releases her album this year to get it out of the way, as much as I love her I'd be annoyed if after all this time waiting for a follow up, she decides to release just as Gaga about to make her big return. Music 15,215
i have to admit, this is such a boring time for the music industry. there are really no songs that stand out and it is kind of sad ..I am waiting for Adele to come back and slay again - 21 has been in the Billboard 200 for 4 years in a row.of course I am hoping that Gaga does make a massive impact on the charts with her new music.I, and many others, just want the world to acknowledge the creativity, passion and talent she has - thankfully, the Cheek To Cheek era has really helped her accomplish this!
