Miel 15,009
It's one of her best songs overall, from all of her albums. It's an incredible, incredible song. That said, it's also the hardest to listen to, in more ways than one. I agree with everybody that the vocals are pretty raw- a lot perceive it as awful, but I like it. Also, it's just an emotionally stressful song, to me personally. 3 points in and ready for more
Riot Poof 2,236
I'm used to emotional piano ballads. Clearly, some pop fans aren't. I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.

Yanko 9,860
i think its a filler on the album but i like it as a song
Klou 2,414
I just cannot stand her vocal tone in the song. It's terrible.
XoXoJoanneGaga 629
It's the best songwriting on the album but the vocals are pretty painful to listen to and the melody is weak. Ironically I find it very forgettable despite how much it stands out in her discography
Creyk 17,805
Horrible vocal delivery. I heard it once and never wanted to listen to it again. And I LOVE her ballads but this is a low-point in her career. I'd rather listen to J&D than this mess. IWBWY>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
freebit 6,240
I agree w/ everyone that says it's her vocal fry that ruins it. Plus, the song is a mood killer. IDK, it's just not her best (though I appreciate that the song means something to her). She executes melancholy much better in other songs like Paparazzi, SHICD, and DWUW. For some reason the chilly electronica of those songs just seems to resonate much more than her acoustic ballads. I don't know if it's because she writes differently when she knows what the production is going to be, or it's just odd luck that it turns out that way. ARTPOPdidntflop 3,987
people who say it's one of her best songs of her discography are being delusional im sorry im just gonna sum it up, Dope is basically Speechless' uglier and weirder sister Gaga x Nicki x Azealia x Ariana x Kesha x Bey
Swan Heart 7,382
Whoever says that her vocals ruin it, just don't get it. Simple as that. The song is probaly one of my favorites on the album. They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.
BadMetalRomance 62
I think that it is one of her best songs and hope she has more like it on her next album
ChicaSkas 22,945
The premise of the question is wrong... you can't just say everyone on GagaDaily, all 25,000 members/visitors, can't tolerate hearing the song. Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster? Will pay you for it. Pic: http://i.imgur.com/UWuzumk
