Tour right away?

With tf/tfm she hit the road right away with the album release (or was already on tour). It meant that during singles releases when interest peaked, tickets were on sale. And vice versa, if you hear what is essentially a new song on a tour, you can buy it right away. It's a commercial goldmine. It also lifts the touring pressure because she was in town for promo, then a show the next night which meant concentrated AND widespread attention and sales.

I think it'd be the best decision. Put a tour together that has a focus on stopping Gaga's physical strain by looking back at The Fame Ball, it had choreographed posturing and a few dance breaks, but focused on letting the dancers dance and Gaga jerk every few beats. If this was the style of tour, with a focus on voice and image, she could release an ep mid tour and extend it.

tbh I want a super long tour again so I can see her a few times on my budget haha

I definitely want a shorter wait than the wait between BTWB and BTW because that was almost a year. 

But not nearly as rushed asThe Monster Ball. That gave Gaga almost no time. 

 

I want Gaga to have time to come up with a good concept (the BTWB concept was good, but there were some random bits in the middle which was odd) and to also rehearse her choreography (which shouldn't be too intense. Think Bad Romance choreo).  

 

I think a 4 or 3 month wait will be long enough for her to plan an epic tour and still live of the hype of a single.

She dropped The Fame Monster on 18th November and started touring on 29th November.

Where did she find the time to promote Telephone and Alejandro? Both songs were mega hits.

I can tell that they were trying to replicate this by serving G.U.Y. using this method. artRAVE started one month after G.U.Y. got released and they were trying to make one or two more singles while touring but G.U.Y. stopped this from happening.

Turns out Born This Way's style (full force in promotion with no tour going on) was a better choice.

Yeah, that was insane!  She dropped the album and 11 days later she began her Monster Ball. 

Actually, imo, G.U.Y. is an awesome song that could have been a huge hit if it would have been promoted properly and if radio would have supported it.  I called like 5 times to 3 different radio stations in Chicago and the DJs there told me they would play the song but they would instead play Applause or The Edge of Glory!!

Clearly, radio was not willing to give G.U.Y. any airplay and that is truly a shame, tbh.

I love G.U.Y. so much and it's a very catchy song. I hate the fact that monsters changed their opinion on the song after it flopped because before it got released as a single people were calling it the savior of ARTPOP, the new Bad Romance, etc. Now it's far from being praised. I agree that it could have went to top 10 easily if it was given proper promotion. Katy Perry performed Dark Horse at the 2014 Grammys and it went to #1 eventually. I believe if G.U.Y. was promoted at the Grammys it would have reached top 10 at least but unfortunately this was prevented as Applause wasn't being nominated for any Grammy when Roar was.

I personally don't want another tour for this new album. I feel like she burns out so quickly and she's not having enough time to see the full picture of the stage/show. This next album should rely on heavy promotion via tv and radio and maybe do a few one off performances here and there but not a full world wide tour.
