Bebe 16,995 Posted June 24, 2015 Share Posted June 24, 2015 I laughed.It's interesting that the only criticism C2C got was that some critics believed Gaga wasn't really interpreting the tracks in a unique way, phrasing the songs in the way others before her have.This is a different interpretation of Bang Bang than we have heard from her before! I think she was familiar with her phrasing on C2C because the songs are classics from the American Songbook and she is trying to stay as true to that as possible as she introduces her fans to Jazz and while she has the opportunity to sing with Tony Bennett.While I would actually love another album with Tony, and hoping that plan hasn't been cancelled, I'm also kind of excited at the prospect of having a future solo Jazz album from Gaga. With some different interpretations of Jazz classics as well as maybe some original Jazz songs (I haven't forgotten you Paradise although from what I remember it's a back and forth between Tony - playing her Dad and Gaga - playing Joanne) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
