So ARTPOP is an album of many genre's which ultimately show Gaga's range as an artist. But what if this album was meant as a sort of test? She wanted to get the reaction to certain songs/genres which ultimately would decide which direction she goes in with her next few albums? What do you think? Examples- MANiCURE- rock, ARTPOP- surrealist pop, do what you want- r&b...ect

What do you think. Could this have been a possibility?

I would love a kind of disco FASHION! album.

I don't think the reason ARTPOP is so diverse in genres is to determine LG6's genre, no.

I think she just really wanted to try out new things with this record as she has with all the records that follow it. Gaga loves to try new things and push boundaries.

I'd like to add that I'm glad she tried all these genres. I never realised how good of an RnB artist Gaga could be before DWUW. :wao: She also showed off her power-house vocals during the ARTPOP era quite freuently. I really want more RnB from her.

Well I would love to see an album with ARTPOPish songs, I mean this surrealist pop-avantgarde style. It would be iconic for me. :proud:

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

I don't think it was a conscious decision. Every Gaga album hops around different genres, though Born This Way is probably the most unified in terms of sound. She excels in writing and singing many diverse styles, I would hate to hear an album in which she focused on one specific type.
