Redstreak 6,653
trust me the Taylor mega praise can only go on for so long... Everything she does makes headlines and it gets annoying. The general public never likes a celebrity with mega success for long... Once they go up suddenly the public turns on them and then they drop back down, sometimes very hard. It's all a domino effect. Human nature is inherently jealous, and the GP makes sure that nobody stays too popular for too longHence me agreeing her next album won't be as big. It'll probably be the same as Red or a little more success wise Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Alfonso 1,551
They are allowed to use them once I believe but after that they have to pay to re-use the image. Even if they took it at a concert etc
TiphEret 1,320
I can't believe what some of you write about photography. Yes it's a real job, do you have any idea the costs of material for example? The amount of time you spend to check all the pictures you took etc... It's his work, it doesn't matter if she is the subject. And if taking picture as so easy then why doesn't she just use candid pics taken at concert by fans and not hiring photographer... Would you say the same about a concert being recorded by a professional? Bat 6,162
Can't wait for the time when she flops so hard she has to beg photographers to take her pictures.Just slowly wait while she gets more overexposed by being all over the news. She can't do nothing wrong now but people will eventually get tired of her.
Pop 4,541
What? Photographers need to pay in order to take a picture or to publish her pictures??Did I understand that right?Gaga does this, too. And so do most other big artists on tour. The Taylor Brigade: KNOCKOUT
GagaMyBlood95 9,915
Gaga does this, too. And so do most other big artists on tour. No way Why would he only mention Taylor then?
Pop 4,541
No way Why would he only mention Taylor then? She's the biggest artist right now and thus the biggest target. Remember 2011 Lady Gaga? The Taylor Brigade: KNOCKOUT
GagaMyBlood95 9,915
She's the biggest artist right now and thus the biggest target.Remember 2011 Lady Gaga? This is kinda different now, and a totally different situation.Gaga wasn't targeted in the media as the one who wants all the money for herself.. Idk.. Redstreak 6,653
Besides, someone on Taylor's team has already clapbacked and said that he's grossly misrepresenting her photography contract :poordat: Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

StrawberryBlond 15,031
Of course she can't stay big forever, but she's not on the brink of disaster. There's over 300 million people in America, 100 negative comments on a Yahoo article isn't representative. Her next album will definitely be lower in success but nothing gargantuan, maybe back to Red's success, certainly no ARTPOP. And the smugness by Gaga fans during the heights of TFM, or Beyoncé during the surprise release, make Taylor stans look like nothing Gaga had a chance to keep her mega success going, but she purposely decided to alienate. It's not just an article on one site I'm talking about, it's a lot of sites and I'm talking from a worldwide perspective (and you should see the number of thumbs up these negative comments are getting). You'd be surprised at how quickly and brutally public opinion can change for an artist. Madonna was unstoppable for the first 8 years of her career until she released Erotica (went from 15 million sales to 6 million, her lowest selling release at the time, and a lot of people thought she'd gone too far and her career was over). Mariah was unstoppable for the first 5 years of her career until she released Glitter (went from 25 million sales to just 2 million, went through a breakdown and a lot of people thought her career was over). Taylor, just like them, has known nothing but success her entire career and she's made 5 albums. She can't keep this up much longer. It is extremely rare for an artist to have a decade of unhindered success right from the beginning. If her next album doesn't live up to the success of 1989 (especially the 3 Billboard #1's part), she is going to get dragged and questioned if she's on the decline. It's the big downside to having mega success. The hype for her next album will be off the charts and nothing can live up to hype that big. And no, actually, this smugness of Taylor fans has reached new levels. They're just lucky that there's literally no female artist remotely close to being a threat right now what with so many of them being on breaks or going through album release troubles. If this were 2011 with the likes of Adele, Gaga, Rihanna, Katy and co going through their peaks, it would be a very different story right now and her fans would not be as assured. And yeah, Gaga could have kept her mega success going but she chose not to alienate, she chose to get better and evolve as an artist. Taylor chose to be a people pleaser, go generic, sellout and devolve in order to make millions. AP may not have had 1989's success but it sure is a far more artistic, credible, believable body of work.

The backlash she received after Red when everyone made her the butt of the joke for her relationships was far worse than this and yet her next era was 1989. Who's going to drag her besides pop stans if the next album won't do as well? I think everyone knows this album will almost be impossible to match. And she would still do great even with competition, you think she wouldn't outsell everyone if she released during the midst of Gaga, Katy, and Miley? Of course she would. Also no no no to that last paragraph. There was no evolution with ARTPOP, there was no getting better, if anything it was a rushed step back. It's lack of critical and commercial success show that. Unlike 1989 who while selling 7.5 million WW was put on almost everyone's best of list, even by indie sites who usually puke at the site mainstream top 40/ Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
