I liked this performance, so yeah, I love when she does something "outrageous", it doesn't even have to make sense. 

She's been wearing a jacket that says 'GOSSIP' on the back of it a lot lately.

She was angry at the media and just wanted to piss everybody off. For me that's enough of a reason. It all came from an anger inside her. The gore of it all also fitted with the song. Someone puking on you is also pretty degrading which goes with the theme of the song. I'm always here for Gaga expressing herself in original ways and I do feel like she never does anything purely to get attention. There are always real emotions behind it. I would only dislike it if it felt forced and fake.

There was a reason tho? It was the whole "honor your vomit" message. It was obviously in relation to the messiness of the ARTPOP era and how she still held her head up high and sung through it. And also the "vomit" could be about her dark past experiences hence her singing swine. The Swine could be interpreted as either Troy Carter in that video or her rapist.

But she literally said the whole "HONOR YOUR VOMIT!!!!1!!!1" Thing on stage. Maybe she wanted to do something along the lines of that but because she found out Millie was in town, she decided to bring her in for more effect.

It wasn't "yolo" it was for Swine. A dirty, disgusting song about a dirty, disgusting topic. It wasn't just because, there was a lot of reason behind it.
