F5S is a multi platinum single that hit #4 on the Hot 100 and BBHMM has been top thirty on the Hot 100 for two months, coming near platinum, the most viewed performance on YouTube of 2015, and is number one on Urban radio currently. I'm not delusional I know this era is a ****ing disaster and is being handled so terribly, but the only "flop" out of this era is American Oxygen. I'm not having a meltdown - she's not over. You literally are making yourself look stupid by saying one of the biggest and most successful artist of the last decade is over after one flop single and terrible marketing of her latest era. I wish her team and herself worked as hard as Taylor's does. I'm sure I will enjoy the new direction (I like most of her bops) but this was a real chance for her to experiment, go outside her usual musical comfort zone and really express herself artistically. Having such previous mass successes, even if the album flopped and every single underperformed, she would still come out relatively unscathed. All she had to do was keep confident in her work. Who knows, maybe the album would have been well received or at least respected. Oh well. It's her career. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. (electro hip hop) and Dark Horse (trap hip hop)... which are not bubblegum pop at all... yet they are one of her biggest and most successful singles...
