It kinda happenned with DWUW and Venus (different situation tho, just an example). Also labels have cancelled singles before. Yea been a month or so aint it? Last time I heard it was with Drake and it wasn't clear whether is was a song of hers of him. Anyway she doesn't show any sings of panic or whatever, just chillin and smoking as usual. What if there is some trouble inside her team/label? Rihanna seems to be focused on other things. She hasn't said a word about the music in a while. Anyway, I just want the album. Rihanna, if she was the boss a$$ b*tch that she says she is, would be fearless in front of the critics and release her material as she wants. But because of the negative response, she lets those take control of her music. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, because I'm really not a fan of her or her music, but like, a Queen should never let the public control her. Hopefully now we will get something more generic and fun, something in the vein of her past successful singles. I'd be here for Rude Boy 2.0, Only Girl 2.0 and stuff like that. She pioneered a distinct sound (Umbrella, Disturbia) and took risks on the last two albums (Diamonds with Sia, Calvin Harris before he has US hit, a minimalist ballad (Stay), .R8 singles 1 and 3 are trying to be on trend and likely sound generic to frequent alternative listeners.
