Fanta 5,019
ugh @ people murdering UV only because it's not bland ass top 40, gets old after repeated listens, pop music. Learn to appretiate REAL instruments for once. After all that's where all our little electronic sounds originated from.Oh girl please, spare us the Top 40 shaming. I rarely ever listen to top 40 or even pop music, in fact LDR is my most played artist after Bjork. That however doesn't mean I and others don't like the fact that we are presented with yet another energy-free chorus, repetitive if I might add and possibly an entire album that follows in the single's footsteps. Even ballads and slow-paced songs can have energy.Lana has some amazing ballads and slow songs, but she doesn't need to repeat UV style and sing like she's talking in her sleep. DrewStevens 5,249
I think it sounds good but not everyone has to like it. I was expecting something more BTD and less UV.It seems like people are only allowed to give criticism to ARTPOP, R8 era and Iggy Azalea.
Sad Kid 91
I wish this album has the commercial success of BTD and crtitical acclaim of UV that's all Credits to the guy on my avi. Love his shirt!!!
Sad Kid 91
I love some of Lana's music, but I can't stand her songs where the chorus is just the same little line repeated over and over again... For example, this: "It's you, it's you, it's all for you. Every thing I do. I tell you all the time, heaven is a place on earth with you, tell me all the things you wanna do. I heard that you like the bad girls, honey. Is that true?" Is SO MUCH better than: "Our honeymoon. ...our honeymoon. ...our honeymoon." It's just frustrating because I know she is capable of writing amazing songs. Sometimes it just seems like she doesn't care lol. I kinda agree but it also makes the song catchy my mom hates Lana but i can hear her sing the chorus of Sad Girl and my brother who thinks Lana is a bad influence to me hums the chorus of Ultraviolence Yasss at my family secretly stanning for Lana behind my back Credits to the guy on my avi. Love his shirt!!!
nikola 4,342
I love the snipet but her videos need to gwt better.... I've got an "F" and a "C" and I got a "K" too And the only thing that is missing is a bitch like "U"
soundwave 193
I hate that some of y'all are bashing on her. If you can see (or at least pretend to see) the creativity and the depth in Gaga, you should be able to see it in Lana. I feel like she really doesn't want to do big production videos, especially since the UV video incident. This is literally a 15 second snippet of probably the first chorus, you cant judge the whole album by that?? Don't pull any ugly sh*t when she drops a #1 album in September. Whatever tho ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm here for it at least. I love the VCR look of it and the strings in the song. I feel like she's gonna live up to the future-retro sound she promised. What was the UV video incident?
flopheart 1,865
It sounds a lot as Ultraviolence vibe, it's weird because i read that Honeymoon would be more similar to Born to Die and Paradise, let's wait and see Btw i love this snippet
Bear 7,515
I like it so far. It sounds closer to UV than BTD, and for me that is a good thing since UV is her best album
bigpinkenergy 1,015
I can hear the BTD influence in the strings in the background. I think we'll have to decide when the full song comes out, although there's a lot to suggest it's a continuation of Ultraviolence (the song) but luckily UV is one of my favourites. She also performed some acapella of Honeymoon, longer than the snippet she posted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LemIoaLRRzU
Angel Down 2,807
It sort of reminds me UV which is one of my fav albums. I can't fvcking wait tbh

Epione 10,896
Is that snippet from music video or she just singing in the zoo with her phone?
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
I love it more after the snippets I don't find Ultraviolence's choruses to be "energy-less" at all tbh The "narco swing" she described them with perfectly fits and keeps me going. Lyrically the choruses aren't even that repetitive; the vast majority of the album has a chorus that is part repetitive, part more Like Ultraviolence's chorus isn't just "Ultraviolence, ultraviolence, ultraviolence" the end, lol. That formula is very popular in a lot of genres Only Black Beauty, Guns and Roses, and Is This Happiness have choruses that are that simplistic, and imo with each of those songs it WORKS With the tempo the songs are at too, repetition is very key for emotional response, so I've never really thought this criticism was that valid for the kind of music it is. "Is this happiness?" especially works with the repetition; the repetition drives the depth of the song home and makes it shine. On both Born to Die and Ultraviolence, I found the verses to be the main interesting points of the songs and the choruses to be the settled down, calm part tbh. For a storyteller like Lana, the verses tell the story, the chorus gives it a name and brings it all together. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
