I cannot @ the same people defending ARTPOP. If it was as good as yall say, it would have been a better success. It's a majority opinion that ARTPOP is her weakest. You don't have to remind me in every thread that I speak my opinion that "it's her best" because I don't think that. Gosh.

If she wouldn't have any issues with management, it probably would be. But no one will ever know. So people should just focus on future. This is such a silly thing to argue about imo.

Filler isn't really subjective. A filler track is one that adds nothing to an album thematically, conceptually, or sonically and that feels randomly shoehorned in. By that definition ARTPOP is her only album with a decent amount of fillers (I can count 4 right off the top of my head).

The Born This Way bonus tracks are another perfect example but they're bonus tracks therefore not held to the same standard

"Fashion!" is totally a filler. I love the song, but especially because it is preceded by "Donatella" on the album, it is unnecessary. A song can sound great and still be a filler. When somebody says that a song is a filler, they are not necessarily saying that it is a bad song. Most of them are just saying that you can remove the track from the album without ruining the album itself.

Not necessarily. There were extenuating factors during this era and it was an album that only had one video with one of the hit songs and only two supported singles. Plus, good albums fail to live up to commercial expectations all the time. That doesn't mean that they didn't have good music.

Also, you fail to understand that some of us don't base our music favorites on success. Some of my favorite albums weren't that successful and some of the most successful albums, I don't care for. Success =/= quality for some music listeners. You have your opinion, but that doesn't mean everyone shares that opinion with you or that your opinion is "more right" than anyone else's. They are opinions, after all, so people are going to have ones that differ from others.
